We are proud to share with you what our guests say about both ‘Grenier Les Bouts’ and ‘Petite Ferme Les Bouts’.
‘GRENIER LES BOUTS’
September 2017: Vicki – Fantastic house in a stunning, quiet yet convenient location. Left with memories of sitting on the balcony in the evening listening to crickets and sheep bells.
August 2017: Peter – A perfect spot to relax! Exceeded all expectations on all fronts, from comfort through to stunning views. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of piece and quiet. Katie and Mark have everything covered to make sure the stay was as enjoyable as possible.
July: Stephen – Great place as advertised. The inside looks better than the photos suggest – which is rare. Would definitely stay again Very comfortable & clean with comfortable bed and peaceful stay.
July 2017: Henry – A genuinely rare place, incredibly quiet and private but still only minutes from Morzine. We stayed in the summer and enjoyed walking, swimming and just looking at the view from the terrace. The property is finished to a very high standard and Katie went the extra mile to ensure our stay was extremely comfortable. If you want to come and recharge your batteries from a busy life, book here, you won’t be disappointed..! We hope to visit in the winter months to ski.
June 2017: Brittany – I stay in about 2 Airbnb’s a month on average and this was BY FAR the absolute BEST place I have EVER stayed. It’s charming, stunning views, beautiful interior, easy access, incredible hosts, and simply put…perfect! The bar has now been set too high I’m afraid 🙂
June 2017: Rachel – Katie and Mark are fabulous hosts and their converted grenier is a real gem. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view from the balcony is stunning whatever the weather! There are a number of outstanding hikes (long and short) very close to the grenier and morzine is only 10mins away by car. The local restaurant (l’Rateli) is just a few metres down the road and makes fresh bread to order every day – don’t miss out!
May 2017: Amelia – Our stay at Katie’s fantastic apartment was perfect from beginning to end. The apartment was spotless when we arrived & the welcome food pack was a god send as our late flight meant we hadn’t been able to pick up any food for the morning. Every detail was thought of to make the stay absolutely perfect. Thank you!
April 2017: Boas – The cottage is really beautiful and it is placed in a wonderful, remote area. Katie makes sure that you’ll feel at home. Great experience.
March 2017: Ben – Truly gorgeous locale. The cabin has a great layout and design that makes good use of its small size. The village is charming and close to the Portes du Soleil ski area. We were lucky to have great fresh snow and it made for a magical setting.
February 2017: Sanne – Lovely place with a beautiful view! Perfect spot for a ski trip!
February 2017: Tom & Lauren – A little piece of paradise… What a beautiful, quaint and unique find, in quite simply one of the most stunning parts of the world. We arrived at the Grenier after a day on the hill. Access was simple due to Katie’s exceptional correspondence leading up to our stay. We arrived to a welcome hamper of goodies, including two chilled beers in the fridge! The Grenier is like nowhere we have stayed before – it’s small yet there is plenty of room for two, it has been renovated to an extremely high standard, fully stocked with cooking equipment etc, fluffy towels and bathrobes with Malton Brown products, wood for the cozy log burner, satellite TV, and a balcony and view over the Portes du Soleil to die for. We quickly enjoyed our beers on the balcony, which overlooks the snowy mountains, sat on two armchairs that had lovely sheepskin rugs on them to keep us warm. The attention to detail, together with the setting is what made the Genier so special. We were there on our final holiday as a couple before we welcome our first born into the world, and I must say it was perfect. If you’re looking for a ‘get away from it all’ retreat, a romantic week in the mountains, or simply a holiday with the family away from the bustle of resort (they have a three bed barn next-door that you can also rent) this is the place for you. It’s about a ten minute drive to either Morzine or Les Gets, so there is lots to do on your door-step. The closest chair-lift is also only a few minutes’ drive away – although we chose to drive to Les Gets as the snow was better on that side of the mountain during our stay. It’s also close to Geneva airport, only taking us about 1hr 15mins. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back with our new addition!
February 2017: Tony & Dawn: Dear Katie & Mark, The Grenier is a little piece of heaven on earth. We were lucky enough to have an abundance of snow which makes the scenery around seem almost unreal, absolutely stunning. The Grenier itself is extremely well equipped and with the log burner and underfloor heating is a cosy, relaxing and idyllic place to stay. Thankyou for the welcome pack….especially the wine and beer, very thoughtful. We also appreciated all your help and tips.
February 2017: Jo & David – Just perfect! You will not be disappointed. We have had the most amazing few days. The best get away from it all weekend ever! You have created a high end boutique suite that we will recommend to all.
January 2017: Matt – Thank you for a lovely stay. What a beautiful place! Your hospitality and attention to detail is very much appreciated. AirBnB review – Beautifully cosy and stylish place with magnificent views, access to great skiing and super friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended.
January 2017: Jeremy – A truly special place to stay. Quite possibly the loveliest, calmest, well-designed, most luxurious hideaway for two in the Haute Savoie. It’s the location, cosiness and special touches that make it this way. The location is stunning. Your eyes keep being drawn to the wondrous view across the valley. It is quiet but not isolated. If you’re coming in winter and concerned about driving up the mountain in the snow, don’t be. We hired a car from the Swiss side of Geneva airport which came with winter tyres (standard issue, I’m told), and despite over 2 feet of snow falling whilst while we were there, we never had a problem. Normal tyres would have required snow chains though. It was great getting to know Katie a bit – we were really impressed by what has been achieved with the renovation. We leave this short trip with some very special memories.
Dec/Jan 2016/17: Oliver – This place is fantastic. We enjoyed a relaxing break over new years here and it could not have been a better accommodation. Just the right size, luxurious throughout and all the little details thought carefully about.
November 2016: Nicola – An absolute gem! Katie and Mark are wonderful hosts, striking the perfect balance between being there if you need them and making you feel like you’re truly in a world of your own. Le Grenier is small and perfectly formed – an incredibly luxurious little place which we didn’t want to leave. The village restaurant came up trumps twice in four days and the views during our September visit were amazing. We will be back in winter, spring and summer to see them in all their seasonal glories! We cannot recommend Le Grenier highly enough.
October 2016: Abe – Amazing little place, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We loved the welcome basket of goodies. We hope to come back next year!
September 2016: Anna – We have probably stayed at over 25 AirBnBs in the past few years, and this was our very best experience yet! What an incredible place that Katie & Mark have restored, renovated and decorated with so much taste and attention to detail. And what a location. We spent every morning and evening on the balcony enjoying the peaceful surroundings and feeling so far away from the hustle of everyday life. It is in a small and charming village, but really close to both Morzine and Les Gets, with so much to offer in both summer and winter. When we arrived, a wonderful welcome basket was waiting for us with wine, beer, fresh bread, jam, fresh eggs, etc. We also really enjoyed using the BBQ – top of the line (like everything else) – so much so that we cancelled dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant! I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. We have already shared it with many friends, and will surely be back in the coming months and years! Katie – thanks to you and your family for everything.
September 2016: Bart – Wauw! That’s the best expression to describe our stay in Couples Gem. The small house is very charming and luxurious and the view is magnificent. Katie welcomed us with a bottle of wine, cold beers, bread, cookies and much more. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is present in the house. This made us feel very welcome. I would recommend Couples Gem to everybody.
August 2016: Conor – Absolutely excellent place to take a holiday! The accommodation itself is beautiful and has everything you need. It’s perfect for couples looking to escape into the mountains. Katie was an excellent host. Communication prior to arrival was prompt and detailed, and during our stay Katie was always on hand if required and extremely accommodating to any special requests. The location was beautiful, couldn’t ask for better views to wake up to and feels nicely nestled away for those looking for a break from civilization. We’ll definitely be back!
August 2016: Suzanne – We spent several glorious days in this beautifully renovated grenier. It is in a lovely location and we were able to enjoy the stunning views, chilling on the balcony. Attention to detail throughout is outstanding and we couldn’t fault a single thing. A lovely welcome hamper (including wine and beer) greeted us and Katie was a delightful hostess. Such an utterly peaceful and relaxing gem. Thank you, Katie & Mark`
July 2016: Melek – Katie was the perfect host during our reservation process and visit. In advance she touched based with us and was available to guide us when we got lost en route. Katie met us with a warm welcome. We were grateful to find that Katie had also stocked the kitchen with basics such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and butter and even a lovely bottle of wine! Not at all expected. Thank you Katie!!
June 2016: Sarah – We had a fantastic weeks stay in Grenier Les Bouts. It is hard to believe that up until recently this was a derelict barn in desperate need of repair. The conversion works have been carried out sensitively and as a result it has all the charm of a secret mountain retreat. Inside the decor is stylish yet practical, with all a couple needs. The views are outstanding and the location peaceful. Great situation for the slopes with the nearest chair lift just a 7 minute drive away. Can’t wait to come and stay again.
‘PETITE FERME LES BOUTS’
September 2017: Trish – Just back from a fabulous two weeks summer holiday! We loved it! Definitely feel the need for a return visit in winter time. Highly recommend!
August 2017: Christina & family – Fabulous apartment, top quality fixtures and fittings great location! Lovely property in an amazing location. Every amenity for a home from home holiday with very helpful friendly owners.
August 2017: Karen and Phil – Our fourth summer holiday in Morzine and we really felt like we hit the jackpot this time. Petite Ferme Les Bouts is even better than the pictures. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, well equipped, and with the most spectacular views. Katie and Mark were excellent hosts, always on hand if need be with advice and tips but never intrusive, making for a lovely relaxing holiday. We are planning to return as soon as possible.
April 2017: The Grattan Family – An amazing end of ski season stay with a week of clear skies and spring warmth. Skiing adventures enjoyed everyday followed by a stop at the lake and then wind down evenings here with your stunning views. Thank you Katie, Mark, Georgia & Henry for making us feel very welcome as guests and friends – great memories to keep and hopefully add to one day.
April 2017: Jay, Fran and Family – Fab skiing, fab chalet and fab holiday. Look forward to seeing you all again!
March 2017: The Bailey Family – Thank you so very much for our absolutely amazing week at your incredibly beautiful chalet. We have had such fun with our boys and could not thank you more for making us feel so welcome. We have loved it here and we hope we can return next year!
March 2017: Martin, Ruth & Family – Our family, Mum, Dad,adult girls and boyfriends have just returned from a wonderful week at this stunning place. Amazing/ breathtaking views from all windows, very comfy rooms. There were also lots of little touches, such as tea, coffee and even dishwasher tablets supplied. The photos cannot do it justice. Katie and Mark were lovely hosts, friendly and available but not ever in your face! Although you need a car to get around, we found this was in fact a plus. We drove to different ski areas each day, ranging from Mont Chery just up the road to Ardent (to access Avoiraz) and Les Gets for lunch in the sun. We were able to ski all the slopes in one week.
I left my pair of brand new bindings stupidly and Katie immediately contacted me to post them back. Many thanks for such a nice stay, would love to come back soon.
February 2017: Stunning. Just arrived home from a wonderful week at Ferme Les Bouts. It ticked all the boxes, immaculate and tasteful interior, fully equipped and with stunning views across the valley. Katie was always on hand if needed and very accommodating to any special requests. We couldn’t have asked for more. We were very lucky to have sunny ski days most of the week with weather similar to that expected in Easter. Thank you Katie and Mark.
February 2017: Grand designs eat your heart out! We have been skiing with our family of 4 for many years. This was positively the best place we’ve ever stayed. Its central between Morzine and Les Gets and close to a large Carrefour so all you need/want is within easy reach. Contrary to in resort or shared chalets where there is an associated risk of noise at night, poor catering or chalet hosts this place is incredibly quite, there is no noise! There is a small restaurant a 5 minute walk away or any type of restaurant you like in either Morzine or Les Gets, less than 10 minute drive away. Next to the property is a field where the kids were able to challenge us to a snowball fight or a sledge race, great if there is still a bit of energy left after skiing all day. As you probably gather from this summary we had a great time and highly recommend this property to anybody. In fact we had such a good time we have already booked again for 2018.
February 2017: Stevie & Rob – Stunning views, the hosts Katie and Mark went above and beyond our hospitality expectations. The chalet was well thought out and felt luxurious. Highly recommend and we would love to visit during the summer!
December 2016: Joanne – Stayed here for 12 nights over Christmas 2016. There were 6 of us. Plenty of room. Well equipped. Loved the place and will definitely return. Spectacular views. Would be a great place to stay Winter or Summer. We were unlucky as the snow has been poor so far this Winter but the sun shone every day which made up for the lack of snow.
August 2016: Janine – Just returned from 4&1/2 fabulous weeks staying at Petit Ferme Les Bouts. The apartment is perfect with views to die for. The surounding area has it all for the Summer, lakes, mountains, tennis, swimming pool etc. Short drive to Lac Leman if the mountain weather is grumpy! The apartment is perfectly situated about 10 minutes from central Morzine but also great for going down the hill to Thonon Les Bains. Fabulous small restaurant 5 minutes walk from the apartment with very friendly owners & great food can’t think of a negative other than we had to come home to Cumbria!!!! Thanks Katie & Mark for a great stay.
July 2016: Louise – A wonderful week, full of sunshine, occasional showers and a magnificent storm! Many thanks for making us so welcome in your lovely chalet. We leave markedly relaxed despite a catalogue of activities and look to return soon.
July 2016: Lovely and Clean, Great Décor, Super Hosts, Morzine is Fab Actually the nicest holiday let we’ve ever booked.
July 2016: Trevor – Thank you for your fantastic hospitality. Although our trip was slightly curtailed by an injury whilst mountain biking, we had a great time. The property was great, comfortable and very clean. A great place to unwind and enjoy the Alps. Many thanks.
